Realme has reportedly trademarked a brand name for its fast charging technology. This name SuperDart that the company could use in 2020 flagship phones.
A twitter user Mukul Sharma posted a screenshot of a trademark application to confirm his claim.
Realme still uses VOOC fast charging technology that is owned by Oppo. Realme came into existence as a sub-brand of Oppo but now the company calls itself an independent company. Even after boasting to be independent of Oppo, it still uses Oppo’s ColorOS 7 and VOOC fast charging technology. The retail boxes of Realme phones also name Oppo as manufacturer and importer for devices.
While we do not have any detail but experts claim that Realme could bring 65W fast charging technology under its own trademark names. A few also claim that it could bring 100W fast charging to rival Xiaomi’s 100W fast charging that could come with Mi 10. 65W SuperVOOC technology is the fastest fast charging that came with Oppo Reno Ace.
Realme has already confirmed that it is working on its own software. Its most recent Realme X2 camera with Realme UI at the top of color OS. It was the first step to ditch color OS.
It is worth to note that OnePlus also uses Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge technology but uses different names like Warp Charge or Dash Charge.
There is no official confirmation from the brand. But we can expect smartphones with SuperDart fast charging in February 2020.
