Microsoft unveiled next-gen gaming console “Xbox Series X”

Microsoft has finally announced its next-generation Xbox gaming console. It will be called Xbox Series X.

The upcoming gaming console will come with a revamped design and now it looks more like a Tower PC. One can keep it in both vertical and horizontal orientations. The company claims that the next-gen gaming console can deliver four times the processing power of Xbox One X.

Xbox Series X will support thousands of titles already available for Xbox One. It will also support previously sold accessories and services like Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Series X will come with a custom-designed CPU based on AMD’s Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA architecture. It will also include NVMe SSD for improved load times and will also support 8K gaming with frame rates of up to 120 fps.

Microsoft didn’t talk in detail and has not confirmed specs, so we do not know more specs and anything about GPU performance.

Microsoft also showcased Hellblade 2 game from Ninja Theory built to leverage the full power of Xbox Series X. Watch this video. The footage in the below video was captured in-engine and reflects the power of Xbox Series X.

Along with Xbox Series X, Microsoft also unveiled the new Xbox Wireless Controller. It has refined size and shape. There’s a new Share button to make capturing screenshots and game clips simple. It will be compatible with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and will be included with every Xbox Series X.

This new Xbox will go on sale ahead of the holiday shopping season next year. We will have to wait to know more about specs and pricing. Microsoft will talk about this gaming console at the E3 2020 video game conference next June.
