Microsoft Surface Pro X and Surface Pro 7 Announced
Along with new Surface Laptop 3, Microsoft has also announced two new 2-in-1 tablets Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro X. Surface Pro 7 comes with an Intel processor while the Surface Pro X comes with a new processor codesigned with Qualcomm.
Surface Pro 7 is an ultralight 2-in-1 tablet that can be used as a laptop. It features a 12.3-inch PixelSense Display with 10-point multitouch and 2736 x 1824 pixels resolution. It packs 10th Generation Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Plus / Intel UHD graphics. You get 4GB, 8GB and 16GB RAM options along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD options.
It also comes with the Surface Pen that has 4,096 levels of pressure. There’s also a TPM 2.0 chip for enterprise security. It has faster Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 LE connectivity. Microsoft claims up to 10.5 hours of battery life for Surface Pro 7.
Surface Pro 7 measures 292.1 x 203 x 8.3 mm and weighs 790g. It comes in Platinum and Matte Black color options.
Microsoft Surface Pro X is also a 2-in-1 device with a 13-inch edge-to-edge PixelSense Display. The display has a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels.
It packs Microsoft SQ1 processor codesigned with Qualcomm and Adreno 685 iGPU. You get 8GB and 16GB RAM options along with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB RAM options.
It also comes with Surface Pen. The keyboard includes pen docking for secure storage and charging.
It features Snapdragon X24 LTE modem for LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5. It claims up to 13 hours of battery backup.
Microsoft Surface Pro X measures 287 x 208 x 7.3 mm and weighs 774 grams. It only comes in Matte Black color option.
Surface Pro 7 starts at $ 749 and Surface Pro X starts at $ 999. Both models are now up for pre-orders starting today. Surface Pro 7 will be shipped starting October 22nd and shipping of Surface Pro X will start from November 5.
