Airtel rebrands Home Broadband to ‘Xstream Fibre’; Announces high-speed plans

Airtel has announced that its home broadband services will now be available under a new brand identity called ‘Airtel Xstream Fibre.’ Not just the new name, but the company has also announced new plans offering better speed.

Under Xstream Fibre, customers now have up to 1 Gbps data speed and unlimited Airtel Xstrem content. As a part of special benefit, customers can also purchase Airtel Xstream 4K Hybrid STB at a special price of Rs 2249 only. There’s also an option to get unlimited data by paying extra Rs. 299 on limited data plans.

The company has also announced 4 different places designed to offer high-speed data to customers. All these plans come with premium ZEE5 and Airtel Xstream content along with limited time Netflix and Prime Subscription.

Xstream Fibre will initially be available in selected cities including Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Indore, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. It will also be rolled out in other cities in the next few months. Airtel has confirmed that it has plans to bring Xstrem FIber to 100 cities.

Airtel’s this move is to compete against JioFiber that is rolling out its high-speed broadband service in the country and it has plans to reach 1,600 cities. Jio Fibre plans start at Rs. 699 offering 100GB of data, with an additional 50GB of promotional data at 100Mbps speed.
