Western Digital has announced the launch of its new My Passport Go SSD in India. As the name suggests, it is an external SSD drive. It starts at Rs. 14500 and is now available from Amazon.in. Amazon is also selling it at a low price.

It comes in capacities of 500GB and 1TB priced at Rs. 14500 and Rs. 29500 respectively.

Build quality of WD My Passport Go is solid and it features shock-absorbing rubber bumper for making it drop-resistant. The company claims that it can survive drops of up to 2 meters. It is also small to be portable.

The company read speed of up to 400 MB/s. It also offers a three-year limited warranty. This SSD is fully compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. It is also compatible with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, One S, and One X. It is also has a built-in cable for data transfer.

My Passport Go comes with a backup software pre-loaded to use. It supports Time Machine back up of Mac but requires reformatting.
