Last Month, Samsung launched a 64-Megapixel camera sensor and confirmed that it will be available for device makers in the second half of 2019. Now reports confirm that Redmi will use the 64 megapixels camera in its next smartphone.

A tipster Ice Universe posted on Weibo that Samsung will bring the 64-megapixel camera sensor through a Galaxy A series phone and Redmi will bring a phone the same sensor to China.

The 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor users Samsung’s Tetracell technology to produce 16-megapixel images in low-light. It also supports up to 100db real-time HDR. It can also capture 1080p slow-motion videos at 480 fps.

GW1 features Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) that converts the received light into an electric signal.

Previously, it was rumored that Galaxy A70 will come with a 64 megapixels camera but it came with a 32 megapixels camera. Now a recent tip claims that the upcoming Galaxy A70S will sport the 64 megapixels camera.

We still don’t know what phone it will be and when the phone will be unveiled. After Redmi, other brands should also follow. So, next half of 2019 will bring several phones with 64 megapixels camera.
