Xiaomi has started sending the invites for the launch of its next selfie phone Xiaomi Redmi Y3 in India. The launch event has been scheduled for April 24, 2019. The press invite clearly mentions the presence of 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Xiaomi has already started teasing the phone on different social media platforms. Manu Jain tweeted a video showing 32 selfies with 32 XIaomi India employees.

The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon.in. Amazon India has also made live a dedicated page for the phone. The listing confirms that the phone will feature the same design that we saw in Redmi Note 7 Pro. It will have the same kind of glass design with gradient color option.

Xiaomi confirmed the presence of Qualcomm chipset without revealing the name. I guess this to be Snapdragon 660 that we saw in Redmi Note 7. The phone should also feature the same dual camera that was in Redmi Note 7.

Like other recent Xiaomi phones, Redmi Y3 will also come with P2i nano-coating for being splash proof. The company also claims two days of battery backup.

Xiaomi’s Y series focuses on selfie phone and the same we should expect from the Redmi Y3. In previous Y series phones, there was a bit compromise in battery and build. Same thing we can also expect from the successor. Basically, it will be a variant of Redmi Note 7 with a better selfie camera.
