After the blasting launch of Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi is now set to launch its budget phone Redmi Go. Redmi Go will also be Xiaomi’s first Android Go phone.

Redmi Go was launched in the Philippines last month. So, we already know the specifications of the phone.

Manu Kumar Jain also tweeted confirming the launch of the phone with a link to register for the launch. That link confirmed the launch date to be March 19.

Redmi Go will be India ready with support to 20+ regional languages. It will also come with Google Assistant in Hindi and dedicated expandable storage.

Xiaomi Redmi Go will feature a 5-inch Redmi Go, quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 1GB RAM, and 8 GB Storage. Storage will also be expandable up to 128GB.

The phone will come with Android 8.1 Oreo Go. So, users will be able to use Go version of Google apps along with Lite apps from Facebook and Twitter. These apps will be fast and will take less space on the phone. So, 1 GB RAM and 8GB RAM will also be sufficient.

The phone will come with 8 megapixels rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5 megapixels front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone will also feature 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and 3000 mAh battery.

Redmi Go is expected to be priced less than Rs. 5000 and will target the first time smartphone buyers. Xiaomi is already popular among low-cost smartphone buyers. This phone will further help it to reach more customers in Indian market.
