Apple releases new iPad Air and iPad mini

On Monday, Apple announced few new iPad models including 2019 iPad Air and iPad mini. Prices of these iPad models start at $499 and $399, respectively.

Both the devices are similar in specs and are as powerful as 2018 iPad Pro. They only differ in screen sizes. The iPad Air comes with a 10.5-inch laminated IPS retina display and the the iPad Mini has a 7.9-inch laminated IPS retina display.

These new iPad devices are powered by Apple’s flagship A12 Bionic chipset with neural engine. Both the iPads also feature home button with Touch ID fingerprint reader along with old Lightning port for charging.

Both the new iPads support Apple’s Pencil stylus but only the old one that can be charged via the Lightning port.

The new iPad Air and iPad mini both have -megapixel rear cameras and 7-megapixel front-facing cameras. These tablets also support Apple’s augmented reality platform. The iPad Air is also compatible with Apple’s Smart Keyboard accessory for turning it into a laptop.

The iPad Air 64 GB variant is priced at $499 while the you can get the 256GB for $649. If you want cellular connectivity, spend$130 more. He Smart Keyboard case for Air costs $159.

The iPad mini 64GB costs $3999 while the 256GB variant costs $549. Add another $130 for getting LTE model.

Both the models are now available for oder and will ship starting next week.
