Samsung has launched a rugged tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 in India for B2B customers. It is priced at Rs. 50990 and comes with S Pen stylus support.

The tablet is rugged and can survive excessive pressure, temperatures, environments, vibration, and drops. It is MIL-STD-810 and IP68 rated. It has 1.2m anti-shock inbox protective cover. The display can also respond if you use using gloves or wet hands.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 also comes with the defense grade Knox security platform for keeping sensitive information safe from hackers and malware.

It comes with 8.0-inch (1280 x 800 pixel) WXGA TFT display and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat. The tablet is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor with Mali T830 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with an option to expand storage up to 256GB.

The tablet has both fingerprint scanner and facial recognition biometric authentication.

It has 8 megapixels rear camera and 5 megapixels front camera. The tablet also comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS, NFC, and USB 2.0 Type C connectivity. It packs 4,450mAh user replaceable battery.

The tablet will be available in India from mid-March. It comes in Black color option.
