Mobile World Congress is around the corner and smartphone manufacturers have started teasing their upcoming launches. Huawei has also confirmed the launch date of its 5G ready foldable phone at MWC Barcelona.

Huawei posted a photo on social media confirming the launch date of its foldable phone. The teaser confirmed the date to be February 24. The V-shape motif in the picture hints the foldable phone. We already know that the foldable phone from Huawei will be 5G ready. CEO Richard Yu had confirmed that the device would have 5G connectivity.

The device is expected to go on sale in June. Rumors also suggest that the company will produce a small number of units first to see market demand. Huawei’s folding phone does not have a name yet. We also do not know anything about the specs but we can expect it to pack Kirin 980 processor and Huawei’s new Balong 5000 5G chipset.

This MWC is going to be exciting and full of foldable phones. Samsung, Lenovo, Xiaomi, and now Huawei has confirmed that they will showcase their foldable phones.
