Xiaomi teases dual-side foldable smartphone in an official video

2018 was about the notch but 2019 will be about foldable phones. We have already seen the foldable phone FlexPai and foldable phone by Samsung. Now Xiaomi has teased its dual-side foldable phone.

Xiaomi’s co-founder and President Lin Bin confirmed that the phone has been developed after solving several technical problems. The company has also developed the adaptive MIUI to support the flexible display phone.

As you can see, this is a dual-side foldable smartphone where a large screen folds on two sides to turn into a compact device. Xiaomi also claims that this will be the world’s first dual-side foldable phone.

Initially, Xiaomi will release a prototype phone. If it feels that people are interested, they will consider the mass production. Xiaomi has not yet decided any name and it will ask people to give it a name. They have Xiaomi Dual Flex and Xiaomi MIX Flex in mind, people’s choice will be given priority.

Xiaomi is expected to showcase the device at Mobile World Congress scheduled from 23th to 26th February.
