Xiaomi just announced that its Redmi Note 5 series has surpassed 1 crore sales mark since the launch. This is as per the IDC data. To celebrate this success, Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for Redmi Note 5 pro in India.

Redmi Note 5 Pro now starts at Rs. 12999. The 4GB / 64GB variant costs Rs. 12999 while the 6GB / 64 GB costs Rs. 13999. The phone is now available at new prices across all sales platforms including Mi.com, Mi home, Flipkart and retail partners.

XIaomi has already upgraded Redmi Note 5 Pro and launched Redmi Note 6 Pro recently. So, the price cut for the phone was already due.

Redmi Note 5 Pro features 5.99-inch FHD+ Display and runs on MIUI. It packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM options. The phone has a dual camera with 12 megapixels primary and 5 megapixels secondary camera. It also has 20 megapixels front camera. It also packs 4000 mAh battery.

It is worth to mention that Xiaomi recently dropped the price of Mi A2 and Mi A2 now starts at Rs. 13999.
