Today, Canon launched its first full frame mirrorless camera Canon EOS R in India. The camera has been price at Rs. 1,89,950 (body-only) and costs Rs. 2,78,945 with the EOS R kit (RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens). It will go on sale in mid-October.
Canon EOS R features a 30.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with DIGIC 8 image processor. It supports 8fps continuous shooting. The ISO range is 100-40,000 and it has a new RF mount system with a 54mm diameter.
It has autofocus system with 5,655 AF points and uses ’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF phase-detection system. The camera also offers dual sensing IS to stabilize shots and dual pixel RAW for micro-adjustment, bokeh shift, and ghost reduction.
It has a 3.15-inch, 2.1-million-dot Vari-Angle touchscreen LCD monitor and a an OLED 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder. At the right side of the EVF there is a multifunctional touch bar that enables users perform tap and slide to adjust the ISO, autofocus, white balance, and more.
It can shoot in 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps. It comes with Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, HDMI and a USB 3.1 connectivity. It also features mic and headphone jacks.
Along with the camera, canon also unveiled four new RF lenses including 50mm f/1.2 L USM, 24-105mm f/4 L USM, 28-70mm f/2 L USM and 35mm f/1.8 macro IS STM. Cannon also launched two super telephoto EF lenses and one prime EF-M lens.
