In just three months after launching BlackBerry KEY2, the company has launched a new variant BlackBerry KEY2 LE.
BlackBerry KEY2 LE looks similar to KEY2 as it has same 4.5 inch display and a matte keyboard. The keyboard of KEY2 LE lacks the capacitive touch features you find on KEY2 and it is smaller as well.
The phone features a 4.5-inch (1620 x 1080 pixels) 3:2 display with 433 PPI pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno 509 GPU. It packs 4GB RAM and comes in 32GB or 64GB storage options. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB.
It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo). The pone comes with BlackBerry’s preinstalled DTEK for real-time threat monitoring. It provides proactive security, content securely and more. It also has Google Assistant and supports dual account.
The phone features a dual camera that includes 13 megapixels primary and 5 megapixels secondary sensor. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with LED flash.
It features Fingerprint sensor in space bar. It offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS / GLONASS and NFC connectivity options.It packs 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. The company claims to offer up to 22.5 hours of mixed usage.
The phone will be available in U.S. in September. The 32GB variant costs $400 and 64GB model costs $450.
