Facebook and Instagram have started testing a new feature to give you peace of mind. As reported by TechCrunch, both the apps are now testing “Do Not Disturb” feature.

The Do Not Disturb option will allow users to turn off app notifications for 30 minutes, one hour, two hours, eight hours, or 24 hours. There will also be an option to turn off this feature permanently until manually re-enabled.

It feels good to see that Instagram and Facebook are adding an option to give users peace of mind. If you find Instagram or Facebook distracting enough, you can enable the Do not disturb and mute notifications.

Instagram and Facebook are also working on Usage Insights dashboard to give you an idea of the time you spent on the app. There will also be an option to set a daily limit after which you will get notification reminding you to have a life away from these apps.

Instagram has also released a new ‘You’re All Caught Up‘ feature that shows ‘You’re All Caught Up- You’ve seen all new posts from the past 2 days’ message on your Feed when you have seen all the posts recently shared by people you follow.
