All the top-end phones with Qualcomm Chipset supports Quick Charge. This technology has been into continuous development and now we have the Quick Charge 4.0 with faster charging than Quick Charge 3.0. The company announced Quick Charge 4.0 per a year ago with Snapdragon 835, but most of the devices are stuck with Quick Charge 3.0.

Qualcomm has now officially published the list of devices with support to Quick Charge 4.0/4.0+. The list is smaller than you can think. It has just two names. Here is the list.

Razer Phone, the first dedicated gaming smartphone and it supports latest fast charging tech. ZTE Nubia Z17 is the second one in the list.

Of course more devices will be added to the list by the end of this year. We expect LG G7 to come with Quick Charge 4.0 support. It is surprising to see that manufacturers have started using Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 but they are completely ignoring the Quick Charge 4.0 and adopting the older tech.

Quick Charge 4.0 Claims to be 20% faster than Quick Charge 3.0. It can charge a smartphone battery from 0-50% in just 15 minutes. The 5 minutes of charging can provide 5 hours of battery life. These claims have been made on a battery of 2750 mAh. It has also been designed to be cooler than before. While we were expecting the tech to become common among flagship devices in 2017, it couldn’t.
