Lava has launched its Lava Z50 Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone in India. The phone was introduced last month. The phone is priced at Rs. 4400 and will be available from all major online and offline retail stores across the country.

Lava has also partnered Airtel to make this phone available under Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ program. So, Airtel is offering the cashback of Rs. 2000 making the effective price of the phone Rs. 2400. The phone also comes with 2-year warranty.

Lava Z50 comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) Go Edition and supports GO edition of different apps for offering better experience even with low-end hardware.

The phone offers search in 10 major Indian languages (including Hindi). It also offers search for images and weather in Hindi as well.

The phone is powered by 1.1GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737M with Adreno 304 GPU. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Storage is also expandable up to 128GB.

It has 5 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixels front camera with front LED flash. Connectivity features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It packs 2000 mAh battery.

The phone got good specifications considering its price. Under the Airtel offer, the phone becomes more affordable.
