Honor 9 Lite gets face unlock with the latest software update

Huawei launched its Honor 9 Lite in India last month. The phone comes with quad-camera setup in budget segment. The phone was already impressive but recent OTA update has made it even better.

Honor has started rolling out a new update to its budget-centric Honor 9 Lite to add face unlock feature. This face unlock is already available Honor 7X and Honor View 10 smartphones.

“Honor 9 Lite will be the most affordable smartphone in the Indian market to support Face Unlock feature and will further emerge as the best value for money smartphone with superior hardware and software configurations,” said P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group.

The update is being rolled out and will come to all devices by the end of this week. If you have received the update, you can go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Face Unlock to enable this feature. If you have not received any update yet, you need wait for few more days.

Honot 9 Lite comes in two variants. The 3GB RAM variant comes for Rs. 10999 and the 4GB RAM model comes for Rs. 14999. The phone features a 5.65-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080. It has 2.36GHz,octa-core, HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor. It has 13 MP+2 MP dual camera at the rear and front both. It packs 3000 mAh battery.
