Instagram has finally added something that Business users have been waiting for long. Now it allows businesses on Instagram to schedule their posts. But there is a catch. This option is not being made available directly to the app.
Instagram is giving the post schedule option via its API. So, social media software can now have access to this function and let their business users schedule posts.
Few social media management tools including Buffer, Zoho Social and Hootsuite were already using an unofficial way to post content on users behalf. After getting access to schedule method officially, HootSuite has become the first one to use this API for post scheduling.
Many small and big organizations use social media management tools to publish content on different social media platforms from a single place. After getting the official API access, scheduling on Instagram will also be possible.
It is worth to note that Facebook announced this new API method for business profiles. So, normal Instagram profiles cannot use this method for publishing content on Instagram using API.
