Last month, HMD Global did a global launch event of its budget phone Nokia 2. At the event, the company didn’t confirm the India pricing. Today, HMD Global has confirmed that Nokia 2 would be sold in India for Rs. 6999. The phone will be available across top mobile stores and online stores starting November 24.

Nokia 2 is a budget phone. It features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) LTPS In-Cell Touch display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC with 1 GB RAM. It has 8 GB of storage with the option to expand storage up to 128 GB.

The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and promises Android 8.0 Oreo update soon. It features an 8 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixels front camera. The phone is splash proof with IP52 rating. It offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS / GLONASS connectivity. It also has 4100mAh battery.

HMD Global has also partnered with Jio to offer up to 45GB additional data. You can avail 5 GB data per month on every recharge of Rs. 309 or above for 9 recharges until August 31, 2018.

Nokia 2 customers will also get complimentary 12-month accidental damage insurance plan by Servify on opening a Kotak 811 savings account and activating it with an initial deposit of Rs. 1,000.
