As per recent reports, Reliance Jio’s ‘Unlimited Calls’ are not actually unlimited for few users. The company has started limiting calls to 300 minutes per day for those users who are apparently misusing the “unlimited calls” feature.

The company has confirmed this move to Telecomtalk and mentioned that the limit is only for selected users. The company found that people have started using Jio’s voice call services for promotional calls and they are doing calls for over 10 hours a day. So, this kind of move was required to avoid exploitation.

If you are not overusing the voice calls up to 10 hours of voice calls a day, you are not into the list of users getting 300 minutes daily restriction.

This limitation is similar to what Jio imposed on data usage when users started overusing the data services. So, it restricted 1 GB data usage a day for high data. But this move affected all users, not just those who were overusing the data.

Meanwhile, Jio has extended its festive offer for the JioFi hotspot dongle. The device is now available for Rs. 999 instead of its original price of Rs. 1999.

Recently, it also revealed the terms and conditions for using JioPhone. It made clear that users will have to pay penalty if they return within 3 years. Users also need to spend at least Rs. 1500 per year on JioPhone.
