Bharti Airtel has announced a new tariff plan for its prepaid customers. Now users can get unlimited voice calls and 1 GB or 4G/3G/2G data for just Rs. 199.
This Rs. 199 prepaid pack comes with 28 days validity. To avoid exploitation, the company has the restriction of 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week.
With this new recharge plan, Airtel aims to compete with Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 plan that offers 2 GB of data and unlimited voice calls. Jio has also imposed the restriction of 300 minutes per day but only to those who are misusing the service by making over 10 hours a day call.
Along with this new plan, Airtel is also offering a recharge plan of Rs. 178 for new customers. This plan offers same benefits as in Rs. 199 plan but is applicable only for first and second recharge.
Airtel is trying hard to counter Jio with price cuts and new plans. The company has also started VoLTE services in Mumbai to stay competitive with Jio,
