Manu Kumar Jain, VP Xiaomi has just confirmed the launch of Xiaomi’s first dual camera phone in India. But, he didn’t confirm the name of this phone and you will also find it hard to guess the name.
Xiaomi has two dual camera phones Mi 6 and Mi 5X. Both of these phones are not available in India. So, it is a big suspense until the next clue. But we are expecting Xiaomi Mi 5X.

The chances of Mi 6 in India are low because Xiaomi saw the poor sales of Mi 5 last year. Xiaomi already had enough time for Mi 6 India launch but they didn’t. The Mi 6 was a good phone to compete with OnePlus 5 in the country, but Xiaomi chose to stay away from this fight. If Xiaomi launched Mi 6 in India, this phone will be priced around Rs. 30000. At this price, the phone will be competing with Honor 8 Pro and OnePlus 5.
Xiaomi Mi 5X will be a lower-mid-range phone. This phone is expected to come with a price tag of less than Rs. 20000. If priced aggressively, it can easily beat the competition. Honor 6X and Cool1 Dual are the two phones with dual camera phones in this price segment. Honor 5X has the same camera that was used in Mi 6. So, this phone is also exciting.

The company will not take decision randomly. These kinds of decisions are backed with a proper market research. I personally want to see the Xiaomi Mi 6 in India but the chances for Mi 5X launch are high.
