Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with 6.44-inch Display, 5300 mAh battery announced

Today, Xiaomi launched its new Mi Max 2 phablet in India. The phone comes in Matte Black color and is priced at Rs. 16999. This phone was originally announced back in May this year.

It will be available from Mi.com and Mi Home during Mi 3rd anniversary sale on July 20 and 21st at 12PM. After that, it will go on sale from Flipkart, Amazon, Tata Cliq and Paytm mall starting July 27, 10 AM. The phone will also be available from offline stores such as Poorvika, BigC, Sangeetha, Croma, Lot, Vijay Sales, eZone and Reliance Digital on the same day.

The phone comes with large 6.44-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display. It also has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 14nm Soc with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM.

The phone comes with 64GB storage with the option to expand storage. It runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Mi Max 2 has 12 megapixels Sony IMX386 sensor with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. At the front, it has 5 megapixels camera with f/2.0 aperture.

It has a fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor and stereo speakers. The connectivity features are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C.

Mi Max 2 is packed with 5300 mAh battery that claims to offer more than 2 days backup with normal usage. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0.

The phone also comes with up to 100GB 4G data for Reliance Jio customers at 10GB data per recharge for 10 recharges.
