Xiaomi has finally announced its new smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5X in China. The phone will be available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colors starting from August. It is priced at 1499 yuan.

Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with 5.5-inch Full HD resolution display based on 2.5 D curved glass. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM LPDDR3. It runs on MIUI 9 out of the box. I have already talked about MIUI 9 in the previous article. It comes with 64GB of storage with the option to expand storage.

The phone has dual camera setup with 3MP+12MP camera sensors. The first 12 MP camera is wide angle and other 12 MP camera is a telephoto sensor. The camera acts the same as in Mi 6. It offers Portrait Mode that blurs out the background. The camera also offers 2x lossless zoom. It also has 13 megapixels front camera for awesome selfies.

It also has a fingerprint sensor located on the rear panel and Infrared sensor. The phone comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and GPS connectivity options. It is also packed with 3080 mAh battery with support to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

It comes with high-quality audio experience with DHS Audio Calibration algorithm and stand-alone audio amplifier.

The dimensions of the phone measure 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and it weighs 165 grams. It carries beautiful full metal build.

We are not sure when the phone will come to India, but it will be available in China starting August 1.
