Popular instant messaging service WhatsApp announced to reach one billion daily active users. The company also shared few more interesting stats about WhatsApp usage.

Along with 1 billion daily active users, WhatsApp also has 1.3 billion monthly active users. People are sending 55 billion messages and sharing 4.5 billion photos per day.

Video content is important and WhatsApp is not ignoring that as well. People are sharing 1 Billion videos per day on WhatsApp.

Surprising thing is that 250 million people are using WhatsApp Status on daily basis. This was copied from Snapchat that in total has 166 million daily active users for app.

WhatsApp supports 60 different languages. It makes it easier for people to use this app for communication. With growing Internet usage in India and other developing countries, WhatsApp is expected to grow.
