WhatsApp is currently testing a feature we all have been waiting for a long time. Soon WhatsApp will allow users to watch YouTube videos directly from the chat window.

As of now, one can only share the YouTube videos as a link. Clicking on the link launches the YouTube app to play the video.

WhatsApp app will play the video in picture-in-picture window with options like pinch-to-zoom, full-screen view mode, and hide ongoing playback to read the messages in chat.

This test was found on iOS devices and will support iPhone 6 or higher. This may change in future because the company is still working on it. We are not sure if this will also come for Android or Windows Phones.
