One fortnight ago on the 30th anniversary of the first GIF, Swiftkey Beta on Google Play was updated with GIF support. Today the stable version of SwiftKey now supports GIF input. With GIFs support, 9 new languages for transliteration is also present in this new version of  v6.6.2 SwiftKey stable release.

Now with emoji, you can also express your feeling and mood with animation. It supports GIFs – categories only (for now). They can be accessed from the emoji panel. Now you’ll be able to phonetically type in your own language. Bangla, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Tamlish, and Tegulu are the 9 languages that added in this stable version.  Now, the keyboard will convert your feelings into native text.New keyboard shortcuts for Bluetooth and hard keyboards.

This recent updates also include new keyboard shortcuts for Bluetooth and hard keyboards. They also fixed some issues like no more crashing when deleting punctuation in the Japanese layout and No more crashing when deleting “!”.
