Finally, Xiaomi has announced the successor of its Mi Pad 2 dubbed as Mi Pad 3. It took around 2 years to get another upgrade. It comes with same display size but chipset has been changed from Intel to Mediatek. It comes in Golden colors and is priced at 1499 Yuan.

In design, this model is same as the 2015 model with the same kind of metal unibody design. The design measure 200.4 x 132.6 x 7 mm and weight is 328 grams.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will go on sale in China tomorrow during Mi Fan Festival. At this time, we have no information of the global rollout.

Mi Pad 3 comes with 7.9-inch display with 2048 × 1536 pixels resolution. It is powered by MediaTek MT8176 (dual-core 2.1 GHz + quad-core 1.7 GHz) 64bit hexacore processor with 4GB RAM.

This tablet comes with 64GB eMMC 5.0 storage. Sadly, there is no option to expand storage. It runs on Android Marshmallow with MIUI 8.

Mi Pad 3 comes with 13 megapixels rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and Full HD video recording. At the front, it has 8 megapixels camera. tablets are not for the camera but for performance and multimedia consumption, so this camera setup is fine.

It has WiFi 802.11 ac (Dual Band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB Type-C connectivity options. There is no LTE variant of this tablet.

It is packed with 6500 mAh large battery to give you longer battery performance. It promises to offer up to 867 hours of standby and 12 hours of multimedia consumption. It also supports fast charging.
