Now when Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are official, Lenovo-owned Motorola is working to refresh its budget phone of E series. It has been confirmed that Moto E4 and E4 Plus have received the Federal Communications Commission certification with the model number XT1773.

According to FCC listing, Moto E4 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The listing at FCC also confirms 5000 mAh battery in the phone. If this is true, I guess this will be in Moto E4 Plus. It will also be largest battery in any Moto Phone.

The FCC filing also shows the smartphone with connectivity features including 4G LTE, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11-n support, Bluetooth Low Energy (v4.2), and NFC.

The phone will come with MediaTek Soc. This could be a disappointment. IN recent months, all Moto Phones with MediaTek SOc were not good in terms of performance. I reviewed few and was not satisfied with the performance of those phones.

Previously, it was rumored that Moto E4 will come with 2,800mAh battery, 16GB internal storage, 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.2. I think this report was not true. If Moto E4 Plus has 5000 mAh battery, Moto E4 will surely have larger than 3500 mAh battery.

There is no confirmation on the screen size of these new phones. Previous phones were smaller and we hope Motorola will continue the same.

Other than Moto E series phones, Moto is also working on Moto Z and X series of smartphones. We have already started seeing rumoures of these phones, and we can expect the official announcement soon.
