Fitbit has introduced the new Fitbit Alta HR with the heart-rate monitor. The new Alta HR costs $150 and will ship in early April.

This is the updated version of last year’s Alta that adds the hear rate sensor. This is Fitbit’s slimmest band to feature the heart-rate sensor.

It has tap-sensitive OLED display to show you fitness data and notification. You can scroll through various screens to check different activity stats.

The band has textured body and offers two watch-like security buckles to fasten the device properly to your wrist. Alta HR is also available in small, large, and extra-large sizes.

It is available in Black, Blue, Fuchsia, Coral with Stainless steel. Two special editions are also available in Black with Gunmetal Stainless steel and Soft Pink with 22k Rose Gold Plated. You get interchangeable bands and these bands are available in multiple colors to match your dress. Bands are available Brown, Indigo, Lavender and Stainless steel.

This fitness tracker can track your steps, calories, distance and exercise. All these things can be tracked via Fitbit app and see the trend to get most of each workout.

The Alta HR automatically tracks your sleep duration and consistency and wakes you up with a silent alarm. Sleep tracking is the most notable feature of this band. The company has come with sleep statistics and insights. Most of other bands use the accelerometer in the device to monitor your sleep but they become useless if you move too much at the night. It assumes you didn’t sleep well. But Fitbit is analyzing your heart rate data taken throughout the night to make sleep data better.

It offers Call, Text & Calendar Alerts by showing notifications on display. The Customizable clock faces are also available. In a single charge, it claims to give up to 7 days of battery life.

Now the Fitbit Alta HR is available for pre-order from the official website.
