Apple introduces new 9.7-inch iPad with Retina display and Touch ID
Apple has just announced its new 9.7-inch iPad with Retina display and iOS 10. It is priced at $329 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model, $459 for the 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model, $429 for 128GB Wi-Fi model and $559 for 128GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
New Apple iPad comes with 9.7-inch Fully laminated Retina Display offering 2048×1536 resolution and Antireflective coating. It also has 2nd gen A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor.
It will be available in 32GB and 128GB storage models. It runs on Apple’s iOS 10. Unfortunately, the new iPad is about 20% thicker than the iPad Air 2.
It is worth to note that this iPad model does not support Apple Pencil or include a Smart Connector. Apple has also increased the storage capacity of iPad Mini.
It has 8 megapixels 1080p camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has 1.2 megapixels HD front Facetime camera.
It will be available in both Wi-Fi only and Wifi+Cellular models. Cellular model supports LTE. Other options are HT80 with MIMO and Bluetooth 4.2.
It is packed with 32.4-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that promises to offer up to 10 hours of usage.
The new iPad comes in silver, gold and space gray colors.
