Microsoft launches Skype Lite in India

Microsoft has just launched its new Skype Lite app in India to give better calling experience when you have slow internet connection. This app is designed for India with various good integrated features.

To launch this app, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella did a dedicated event in Mumbai India.

Skype Lite is just eh lighter version of Skype app with all important features including instant messaging, voice calls and video calls with anyone on Skype. The size of the app is just 13 MB.

It has the option to choose the economical calling while making skype calls and it will reduce the data consumption. You can also track your data usage in the app anytime.

Another important feature of the app is Aadhaar integration but this feature will be rolled out by June 2017. This integration will enable the Skype users to verify the identity unknown callers and avoid spam callers.

The app is available in Gujarati, Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The app has been built by Indian engineers at the Hyderabad development centre of Microsoft and it was tested with consumers in India.

Skype Lite has been launched only for Android devices. You can download it from Play Store.
