Google Assistant is coming to all Android devices running on Marshmallow or higher

After the launch of LG G6, the first non-Pixel device with Google Assistant, now Google has finally announced the Google Assistant for other Android phones as well. Google Assistant is coming to your phone this week.

Google Assistant will be available to all Android phones running on Android Nougat or Marshmallow with Google Play Services Installed. The update will be available this week via Google Play Service. So, you will not have to wait for slow OTA updates.

Initially, it will be available to English users in US followed by English in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, and German speakers in Germany. It will also be available in other languages over the coming months.

With Google Assistant, you just need to long press on Home button or say Ok Google to give voice commands to your phone. You can perform different actions, perform search, change quick settings and more.

Google is also at MWC to showcase the Google Assistant on number of Android partner phones, including HTC, Huawei, Samsung and Sony.
