Samsung to launch Gear S3 in India on January 10

Samsung has finally started sending invites for the Gear S3 India launch. The launch event is scheduled on January 10. This will be the Samsung’s first major product launch of 2017 in India.

Samsung Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier smartwatches were launched last year in September at IFA.

Both smartwatches have IP68 ratings for water resistance to make it suitable for daily usage. These watches have WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, MST and A-GPS/Glonass. The Gear S3 frontier also offers 3G/4G LTE connectivity.

These watches including 1.3-inch Circular Super AMOLED Always On display, 1GHz Dual-Core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 380mAh Li-ion battery. These watches run on Samsung’s Tizen based wearable platform 2.3.2

These watches claim to offer up to 4 days of battery life and support wireless charging. These watches are packed with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Heart Rate, Ambient Light, Barometer sensors.
