Few days back, we reported when Prisma’s founder confirmed filters for Facebook Live videos. Now, Facebook Live finally got support for Prisma art filters.

The new updated Prisma app lets you add 8 filters to Facebook Love videos. It converts video in real-time using the technology called “Style Transfer“. This feature uses Facebook Live API, a feed that the company released back in April.

There are also few limitations. On iOS app, it is only available on the iPhone 6S and 7. It is because this video filter process needs considerable processing power and only these models were eligible.

Since the launch in June this year, this app has been downloaded for over 70 million times. But the sudden  growth became stable when people also stopped using this after 2-3 weeks. Now with this new option, people will surely try to see how it works on Live video.

Facebook also demonstrated its filters and Google also shared its new multiple neural network filters to a video. This field is also also going to be competitive.
