Apple is reportedly working on 3D camera for iPhone 8

As per the recent reports, Apple is working with LG to develop the 3D camera for its next generation iPhone. This camera module will use LG Innotek’s dual camera.

A report from The Korea Herald noted that LG and Apple have already collaborated for this 3D camera tech. LG Innotek has its 3D camera and related technologies, it will help Apple in developing a 3D camera for iPhone.

Apple also gained the 3D camera tech from LinX, an Israeli startup it acquired back in April 2015. That technology divides the images into three stages to get depth in photos.

With its existing technology and LG’s expertise, Apple is trying to bring the 3D camera tech. Apple is working to apply its 3D camera technology to LG Innotek’s smartphone camera.

Next iPhone will mark the 10th anniversary iPhone. So, Apple is planning to bring major update to iPhone series. We already have rumors for bezel less display, OLED panel, and wireless charging. Now this new report talks about 3D camera.

Few reports also talk about full glass body of next iPhone.

Every year, we see concept iPhone models and various rumors. Recently, we also saw Apple patent for foldable iPhone. So, we cannot say what will be the final product. As the next iPhone will mark the 10th anniversary, we are also expecting big.
