Xiaomi partners StoreKing to expand its reach to Rural India

Xiaomi entered in Indian market with online-only sales model to cut the cost of the phones and became one of the most popular online brands in short span of time. After getting success in online-only model, Xiaomi has been trying to reach to more customers by using offline channels for past few months. Recently, it announced the partnership with Just Buy Live and Innocomm to increase offline reach. Now, the company has partnered with StoreKing to reach to rural India and grab more customers.

“With Mi India on-board, we aim to serve rural consumers better regardless of their location and give them access to the best of products,” StoreKing Founder and CEO Sridhar Gundaiah said in a statement.

Rural Indian accounts for considerable mobile phone sales in India. As Xiaomi has no direct retailing option in offline channels, it is partnering with offline store chains. Its earlier partners including Just Buy Live and Innocomm have their reach to only limited cities.

But new partner StoreKing focuses on partnering with retailers in small towns and provides the wide range of products to customers. Zo, Xiaomi’s product will get more reach to the rural part of India.

Xiaomi is now popular mobile brand in India but people are not satisfied with product availability and after sales service. It seems good to see that the company trying hard to make sure the availability.
