Facebook brings 360 videos and photos into instant articles

Facebook added support for 360 videos almost a year back and added 360 photos back in June. Now, it has extended support for 360 content and announced 360 videos and photos for Instant Articles.

Facebook has already experimented 360 content with USA TODAY NETWORK and BILD have. These publishers have already started using this as testing for Facebook. See the video below.

Starting today, Instant articles publishers can implement 360 content in their articles. Readers can see it in the same way they see 360 videos or photos on Facebook.

Many web publishers use Instant articles because it loads instantly. Facebook wants to make support those publishers are not missing out features. It also wants to bring more publishers to this. Instant articles make sure that users are on Facebook.
