We all know that Facebook is very aggressive in pushing video content to beat YouTube. Facebook also believes that future of content is on video. This is the reason, it is promoting video content more than other content. Now just its own platform, it is using the same strategy on Instagram.

Instagram has introduced a new ‘Picked For You’ channel in its Explore tab. This is dedicated to video content. This channel collates videos based on user interest and favourite topics

In next OTA update, this feature will be available the United States. The company didn’t confirm when it will be available to users of other countries.

Not just this new channel for videos, Instagram is also rolling out new translation feature. Instagram will get a translation button next month. This button will appear on feed stories and profile bios written in language different from the language of user’s device. Clicking on this button will instantly translate that content.

Instagram confirms that it will be supporting 23 languages including French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean initially.
