Google’s first Project Tango Phone is the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro

Lenovo Tango Prototype

The Lenovo Tech World press event is just three days away. Taking place in San Francisco, in the event, the manufacturer intends to tackle, “the most promising and emerging topics in innovation, including virtual reality, IoT and harnessing the power of the cloud to transform people’s lives.”

To be honest, this does sound a little bit vague, but also quite exciting at the same time. Lenovo recently unveiled the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus in the Indian market, so, we can only guess that the company os definitely planning something exciting in the event.

The renown tipster Evan Blass through his Twitter handle @evleaks has again dropped a new piece of juicy “leaked” information regarding the  “first Project Tango phone”, which is a lot different from the Moto Z series that we are expecting to be a part of the major announcements of the show. As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the series or the MotoMods or StyleMods accessories.

The device will apparently be called Lenovo Phab 2 Pro and is supposed to follow in the footsteps of the 2015 released Phab Plus. However, the size of the device is going to be smaller than its predecessors, still at 6.4 inches wide display size, the “Google AR” is still a monstrous device. It is also reported that the display may tout Quad HD resolutions.

After several years of research and speculations, it looks like Google’s Project Tango is finally ready to be released in the market. Even with the numerous prototype showcases at various shows and expos, we are still unsure of what we can expect out of the final smartphone. The prospect of the innovation and modularity, however, is definitely very appealing.
