WatchOS 3 also includes smart replies. So, you can reply to notifications direct from message notifications.

Apple has also introduced a new safety feature SOS which lets you call 911 in just a few seconds by holding down the side button. It will dial the 911 by using phone’s cellular connection or through the watch’s Wi-Fi connection in case cellular network is not available. Soon after the call, it will also send the automatic ping to emergency contacts. Apple says that this feature works locally for many countries and will automatically call the correct emergency number for that country.

Watch OS 3 also comes with many health related improvements. Now your health activities are becoming competitive. You can also share your health metrics with friends by using feature called Activity Sharing.
