For past few hours, WhatsApp Gold is trending among many WhatsApp users. Many users reported to receive a message to get WhatsApp Gold. While this version claims to be an exclusive version of WhatsApp with Gold icon, this is a scam to infect your phone.

A number of WhatsApp users have reported receiving a message with the download link for “WhatsApp Gold”.

Whatsapp message

As per the message, this WhatsApp version is exclusive and previously it was available only to top celebrities. It claims to allow you send hundreds of pictures at once, new emojis, video calls, and better security features.

The website mentioned in the message was “www.goldenversion.com” which now gives a 404 error.

This whole thing is nonsense and you should be away from this. It only tricks you to download a program to your phone. his program is a malware which steals your personal data and tracks your movement and activities.

There is nothing like WhatsApp Gold. Say away from it.
