Speculations for the release of a new series of smartphones by Samsung, the C series are making rounds on the Internet. Two new devices are expected to be launched in the lineup, the Galaxy C5, and Galaxy C7, but, as of now, the South Korean smartphone is yet to make any form of confirmation about the existence or the production of such devices. Further reports also suggest that these devices may launch in this month itself.

Sam Mobile China has claimed that the devices will be launched in this month itself and the release will be exclusive to the Chinese market. The website also claims that the price point of the latest offerings will be somewhere between Samsung’s budget and high-end smartphones. This may also be true for the specs of the smartphone.
However, we think that at a later date the Indian market will also get these new smartphones like we saw in the case of Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016). At present, there is pretty slim chance of the company making a release in the mid-range price segment as it has been very less time since the latest version of the J5 and the J7 have made their way to the stores. A Samsung device with model number SM-C5000, believed to be the Galaxy C5, has made it to Zauba. It is a website that tracks the imports and exports to the country.
As for the specs, like we said earlier, the company is quite tight-lipped about the whole affair. However, according to MyDriver these are the details of the specs of the devices.
Both the devices will supposedly share the features like a full HD display, an Ultra High-Quality Audio (UHQA), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB internal storage. In the camera department, they will feature a 16MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP front shooter. However, some reports suggest that the C7 may be powered by the Qualcomm 625 processor.
The website further claims that the C5 will come with a 5.2-inch display and will be powered by a 2,600mAh battery. It will be priced at 1,599 Yuan (around $246 / Rs. 16,300) while the Galaxy C7 is expected to have a 5.7-inch display and will be supported by a 3,300mAh battery and would be priced at 1,799 Yuan (around $276 / Rs. 18,400).
