Google’s Duo is a smart HD video calling app

Google Duo

Along with smart messaging app Allo, Google has also showcased its one-to-one video calling app Duo at Google I/O event. This app is also based on your phone number and allows you to reach all the contacts you have in your mobile phone.

This app is available for both Android and iOS platform. It will be available this summer along with Allo.

This app is also optimized to consume less bandwidth. So, you can enjoy video calls from any location and even on slow Internet connection. It also provides the seamless transition of calls between cellular and Wi-Fi. Calls are in crisp HD video and audio for the better experience.

One notable feature of this app is that you can see love video preview of the caller before you pick up the call. So, you can see the preview and decide if the call is worth picking. You will not like to talk a drunken friend in the night to spoil your sleep.

It also offers end-to-end encryption for privacy and security reasons.
