At, its Build keynote Microsoft has just confirmed that its Windows 10 operating system is running on 270 million monthly active devices. It announced 200 million monthly active users back in January.

Numbers show that Windows 10 is growing with good pace. Microsoft also says that Windows 10 continues to outpace previous Windows launches. If you compare its growth with the growth of Windows 8, it is four times. And if you compare with Windows 7, the growth rate is up 145 percent.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says” Windows 10 is the fastest growing version of Windows for both consumers and enterprises,”

We should also not forget that the adoption is fastest because it is available as a free download to all Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. This free upgrade will end in July. After that, we will see slower adoption. Microsoft could also extend this date to keep its adoption rate high.
