With over 400 million active users, Instagram is a popular mobile app among users, brands and celebrities. So, Instagram has taken a big step to make account of its users secure. Instagram has confirmed that company has already started rolling out two-factor authentication.

To use this feature, you will have to verify a phone number. Then if anyone tries to log into your account with your email and password, you will receive a verification code to get access to your account. In this way, only you can get access to your account even if your password was hacked.

Instagram users were asking for this feature for a long time. If a hacker gets access to your Instagram account, he can delete your photos or post scam offers and nude images to ruin your image. In past, there have been few hacking incidents on popular Instagram account. So, addition of this feature will surely bring smile on the faces of Instagram users.

Instagram two-factor authentication came soon after Instagram added support for multiple accounts. It seems Instagram is now working to bring most of the users requested features.
