Google has introduced shared albums feature in Google Photos, it’s photo backup service launched earlier this year.  This feature makes it easier to share photos and save photos in single album in collaboration. It is now available for Android, iOS and web.

People with whom you shared the album can access the photos and videos of that album. Not just access, they will also be able to upload new photos and videos in the album. All persons involved in the album will receive notifications when new pics are added. Anyone with the shared album link can view photos but contributors need Google account to upload photos.

Once you updated the app, you will see + icon on the top right of the screen. Clicking on it will give you an option to create a shared album. Same is on web. + icon can be found at the left side of search box.

Watch the below video to see how easy it is to create a shared album and share photos. Video just demonstrate it on mobile app. Similar thing can be done on web.
