If you are irritated with the advertisement shown before or in between videos while watching videos on YouTube, this is good news for you. YouTube will soon give its users a subscription service to watch videos without ads. This is the paid subscription service in which viewers will have to pay monthly fee.
This is not clear till now that when this option will be offered and how much fee will be required to pay. But it is expected to allow $10 per month for this subscription. And reports confirm that the service is almost ready to be launched any time soon.
Company has also sent an email to all creators notifying them about this new service. Company sent email about changes in terms and creators have no choice except accepting the terms. Creators will get 55% of the net revenue YouTube will earn from creator’s video.
YouTube said,
YouTube will pay you 55% of the total net revenues recognized by YouTube from subscription fees that are attributable to the monthly views or watchtime of your Content as a percentage of the monthly views or watchtime of all or a subset of participating content in the relevant subscription offering
“Giving fans more choice to enjoy the content they love and creators more opportunity to earn revenue is always amongst our top priorities.” A YouTube spokeswoman said this statement.
YouTube also introduced Music Key subscription service back in November. This service offers ad-free music for $9.99 a month. This new service will be live along side Music Key as a separate offering.
We have no details about the launch of the service. But the changes in terms will go into effect during June. So, we can expect this new subscription service to come around June this year.
